Meet the High Performance People founders.

Together James Burke, Dr Sean Richardson and Mike Read founded HPP in July of 2018 with a vision of democratising access to the methodology, systems, processes and tools that has up until now, only been available to the boardrooms of global business networks and elite organisations.

Our multi-disciplinary advisory board and consultancy team combines expertise from the learning domains of leadership, elite sport, law enforcement, military and performing arts, and provides unique insight into real-world high performance in competitive, volatile and uncertain environments.



James Burke heads up HP talent team

As the founder of executive search and advisory firm the ladder in 2005, James has worked with 200+ companies at C+ level on a variety of talent transformational projects.

In 2015, in response to client demand, James created the High-Performance Academy, operating in a new and evolutionary space between management consulting firms and HR advisory services.



Dr Sean Richardson heads up HP science team

With a B.A, M.A and PhD in business, sport and performance psychology, Sean combines 30 years as a professional athlete with 15+ years of international psychological practice and organisational consulting across multiple industry sectors.

Sean’s IP & methodology focuses on the mindsets required to produce sustainable high performance in individuals, teams and leaders.



Mike Read heads up HP academy team

With 30 years of business, marketing, innovation and People & Culture experience, working with and for some of the world’s most famous brands and organisations, Mike combines HP art & science to help engineer high performance cultures, teams and individuals.

Mike has been working as a learning specialist and executive coach for the last 13 years.
